    I’ve been meaning to experiment with Next.js for a while, and this personal site felt like the perfect playground. After building smaller projects with React, I wanted to explore a more structured, full-stack framework — and Next.js delivered.

    Next.js and Vercel go hand in hand, so deploying the site here felt like a natural choice. Simple, fast, and developer-friendly.

    Tailwind has been a great companion — I love how quickly I can bring ideas to life without jumping between multiple files. It’s especially useful for solo projects like this where iteration speed matters more than strict component structure.

    I'm still getting the hang of both libraries, but I enjoy how flexible and accessible they are. Coming from a more traditional styling mindset, it’s been refreshing to explore this utility-first approach and component-driven theming.

    Theming (In Progress...)

    Custom theming is still a work-in-progress — I’ve experimented with using CSS variables and HSL color models to control theme logic, but I’m learning that simplicity often wins. Right now, I’m exploring ways to have multiple color themes and support light/dark modes without overcomplicating things.

    Privacy-Friendly Analytics via Google Analytics

    I use Google Analytics to get a better understanding of how people use this site — what pages are most visited, where visitors come from, and how the content performs over time. While it may not be as privacy-focused as some alternatives, I’ve configured it to respect user preferences and avoid unnecessary tracking.

      • Open source typeface designed by one of my favorite typographers (Erik Spiekermann). Stop Stealing Sheep & Find Out How Type Works by Spiekermann was one of (if not the first) books I read on typography, and has continued to influence me to this day.
